MISSING BOB'S MEMORIES

She was lost in her father's void,

for he knew not who she was.

or sometimes even his.

There were times she was a railroad engineer,

and worse yet, a nurse whom he'd grown to fear.

She felt if he could just call her to mind,

perhaps for a moment, himself he could find.

She felt rage at what the disease had done,

to this husband, grandfather and gentleman.

So she covered her sorrow with a fresh coat of pain,

and tried to help her Daddy remember her name.
