Finish

I knew this guy once
that made this frown into a smile
bask in its radiance for awhile
then part
for only moments, return and
bring me peace

All hidden in a wicker basket
nestled in pretty paper
kinda made me happy
wide eyed and wondering
what pleasant things he could release

Dawn would break
without one star to shine
on my parade, marching in my mind
left.... right
Those stars were so bright

the dark plain I have traveled
without those full moons
to dance beams upon
my path
guide me, oh my great gift
Seen without word
Sought without vice
it felt so very nice

Come see me, believe me
the adventure
far and long
some old words, from some ole song
now that I feel you
complicate the thoughts
to even drift into my weary head
of words and visions
So many I can't even speak
Plant and you shall seek

Now with every footstep
deaf to the virtues
unreasonable madness
sadness
that only the little bats
outside
know this tale through and through
they read my mind
like you use too

finish my.....
yes, that's right
my thought
