Silver

You said these words
When realizing my faults
Short comings abundant
but with deep rooted feelings
Of what you see
Let the truth be known
Our fondness for each other has grown

Silver...

Not another word could come close
To silver planes and skies and eyes.
And when you said this
Spoken, softly, mild voice
I had no other choice
but to shed a few tears
canceling out all my fear.

Silver...

Now counting down the days till we combine
The last few decades it seems
To actually feel, seal the final question
With an answer so true, covered in your
radiating hue
No words could compare
To that silver reflection in my stare.

Silver...

I have this voice
It sits within my head
And reminds me of words you've said
Yet this feeling is burned inside my being
The last only solid feeling
I could never turn away
Or make tomorrow become today
Through every silver tongued thing you say.

Silver...
