Mag's Tribute to

Brian Froud

Just recentely I discovered this artist, Brian Froud. Apparently, he has been working for years, and I'm just too slow to notice :0) . He is a fantasy artist with a great insight into the world of Faerie. I've heard it sad that Brian Froud is the only person ever to have made it to the Land of Fae and back. Undoubtably, his faeries are incredible! The realism is that is so hard to give to an otherworldy being is very effectively shown. He did the art for the movie The Dark Crystal and inspired another movie, The Labryinth (one of my personal favourites!) He has several books, The World of the Dark Crystal, featuring art from that movie, Faeries, on which he collaborated with another fantasy artist, Alan Lee (on hold at Chapters for me at this very moment -- I'm waiting with baited breath!), and a few others that i havent been able to find. Brian Froud currently lives in Devon, England.

The following are some of his paintings, and some can also be found in my Fae Fantasy Gallery. If anyone could tell me the titles, i would greatly appreciate it!
