COME HOLY SPIRIT

In the stillness of the morning
Come, Holy Spirit,
I need thee.
Above the waters of stress that this day
Will surely bring,
Buoy me,
With the Peace that passes
All understanding.
For You, Lord, have forewarned us
That in this world we shall have
Tribulation,
So that when it does come,
We don't have to stand confused and
Perplexed.
Anoint my being,
Holy Spirit,
That I may be of good cheer.
Dwell in me that Your Peace,
O Lord,
May abound in all things.
Come, Holy Spirit,
I need Thee!

These two poems were written for me by my hubby, Vicar...

If I could write love songs, or poems that would show,
the way I love you darling, perhaps then you would know.
If I could buy you treasures, of silver and of gold,
if I could be a prince, I'd fight for you so bold.
If I could be a kng, I'd choose you as my queen,
then perhaps you would know, how much you mean to me.
But I am not a rich man, I have no way with words,
I can't fill you sky with rainbows, or sweetly singing birds,
But love is what I do have, it comes from within my heart.
As long as I'm alive, we'll never be apart.
--Vicar

Flowers, hearts and diamonds, romance is in the air.
This Valentine's day season, love is everywhere.
I could buy you such things, but does a squire sing,
silly little love songs, yea, instead of giving rings?
Juliet's heart was melted by Romeo's romantic lines.
And though I'm not a Romeo, I'll tell you all my mind.
I will love you Sheila, truly, faithfully.
Until the winds stop blowing their gentle Autumn breeze.
When the snow stops falling on winter's frozen ground.
And the birds stop singing their chirpy sing-song sound.
Then my wife I'll go and leave you all alone.
Yes, then I'll finally leave our warm and cozy home.
Only in death will I Todd stop loving you Sheila!

The Cross On The Side of The Road

Every day i pass you and i don't even know your name.
Yet every day i pass you i can feel your familys pain.
Were you the father that mowed the lawn?
Or the brother that rode the bike?
Were you the daughter that danced in the hall?
Or the mother that everyone liked?
Yes every day i pass you, and i just wonder why?
A person thats love as much as you no longer has a life.

Kathy (Bluebirds mom)

Constantly straining for nothing at all,
getting back up being destined to fall.

Creating a character filled with confusion,
swimming aimlessly around a pool of illusion.

Striving for acceptance waiting patiently for doubt,
aiming at a target long ago shot out.

Whispering thunder tears to turn,
lured through fire dodging burn.

Constantly piecing segments shatted,
bleeding conscious nothing matters.

Striped of identity emotions devour,
perfumed of defeat sweet to sour.

Bound to a place caged in the mind,
attachments snapped now left behind.

"Grandma Got ran over by a reindeer"

Let this be the first
with many more to come,
of things that bring christmas joy
to you my first grandson.

For on the year that you were born
this song was a christmas hit,
and everytime I hear it
my heart still grows a bit.

So, when I'm long time gone,
I hope you'll think of me.
Each time you hear the grandma song,
or lite a christmas tree.

"The diet"

The pig is old it's not new.
The pig helped me.
She'll help you too.
Just put her down
where you can see
what we both look like
in a green bikini.
