CHAPTER THIRTEEN - THE SCARY SIDE OF MIDNIGHT

"Get off of me Zac!" Taylor shoved Zac's arm off of his shoulder.
"Don't be a jerk Tay!"
Taylor rolled his eyes. They were standing in the garage and it was pitch black.
Isaac was nowhere.
"You know this is just Ike's way of scaring us..." Taylor said, a little unsure of his own words. He put his arms out a bit and
walked a little.
"Yeah well, Isaac! If you can hear me...we'll get you for this!" Zac shouted.
They heard a little bang and then silence again.
"Uh..." Zac was holding on to Taylor again.
"Oh I think this is the fuse box!" Taylor exclaimed, feeling all the switches.
"Then why is Ike not standing in front of it?"
"I don't know! Ok, forget this...go out in the backyard." Taylor moved by Zac and found the doorknob. He turned it and
walked out into the backyard. The moonlight cast an errie blue light all over the yard, causing every shadow to move...almost.
"Isaac? Are you out here?" Zac asked, very loud.
"No...but I am."

"Avery, it's ok. Don't worry." Jessica put her arms around her and tried to comfort her. They all sat on her bed and waited for
the boys to return.
"Do you think we should go out there and see what's up?" Joey asked.
"I don't know..." Jessica stared out into the dark room.
"This is WEIRD!" Avery exclaimed.
Her sudden outburst made them all laugh.
"Well, how about I just go see what's going on? You stay here with Avery."
Jessica looked at her and then nodded. "Just be careful...ok?"
"I will." Joey took the flashlight and started making her way back downstairs.

A person stood in front of Zac and Taylor now, dressed in all black. You couldn't even see their face.
"Where is Ike?" Taylor asked the person.
It pointed to the treehouse. Isaac was tied up and sitting in a chair.
"What the hell??" Zac exclaimed and tried to run over to him. The person stopped him and shoved him back.
"You're not going anywhere."
Taylor was really wondering how the small person in front of them could get Isaac up the treehouse without him giving them a
good fight...he would soon know why.
Just then, Joey walked out into the garage.
"Joey, run back inside and call for help!!" Zac yelled.
Before she could do anything, another person came out from the bushes and grabbed her.
"Ahh!! Help!!" The person shoved a gag in her mouth and tossed her over their shoulder.
"Man, this is crazy! Who are you??" Taylor screamed.
"Take a good look." Slowly the hood was removed and Macy's face was revealed.
"Luke, Tisha, Tom and Mark...step on out please." She yelled. The four other people walked out from the shadows and
yanked off their hoods.
"You are sick in the head you know that!" Zac screamed.
"Enough Macy...what do you want already?" Taylor asked, the anger boiling inside of him.
"I want you to apologize for what you did to me!" She yelled to them.
"For what we did to you? What did we do Macy?" Zac yelled back.
"You know what you did! Apologize or she gets it!" She pointed over to Joey.
"You're so sick!! You should be the one apologizing to us!!"
Macy looked over at Joey. "Soak her."
One of the guys pulled out a bucket of water from the bushes and walked over to Joey. She started screaming and Mark held
on to her even tighter. Tom dumped the water all over her.
"You freak!! Leave her alone!" Taylor tried to push past Luke and Tisha but they shoved him back.
Macy smirked at them. "This will all be over soon...just say what I want you to say."
Zac looked at Taylor. They looked at Joey. She looked cold. Afterall, she only had her pajamas on. They just stared at her.
She must be sick in the head.
Taylor then remembered something...
"What are you smiling at?" She asked him.
"I know something about you Macy."
She looked at her friends, then back to them. "Yeah, like what? You know crap about me!"
"Oh yeah...do the words "Hanson Fan" mean anything to you?"
Macy backed up a little. "What are you talking about?"
Zac had a confused look on his face.
"You know very well just what I am talking about. You may act like you hate us, but I know the truth. You have my brother,
posted all over your room!" Taylor yelled the last part very loud.
Tisha stared at Macy. "I though only we knew about the posters Macy!"
Tom, Mark and Luke just stared at Macy. Even Luke, her brother, didn't know she had posters up. She always kept her room
shut and locked.
Zac looked disgusted. Joey started laughing, despite the gag in her mouth. "Shut up you little punk." Macy screamed to her.
"How do you know I have posters!!" She screamed, getting more frustrated.
"Hmm...one little piece of advice. Get some blinds for your window Macy. Anyone can just look in there and see your
obsession all over the wall." Taylor was smiling from ear to ear.
Zac giggled a little. "Not so tough now, huh Macy?"
Macy looked at her friends for help, but they did nothing. "We are out of here Macy...you're a fan." They all (except Tisha)
dropped what they were doing and walked out of the yard.
"Wait!! You just cant leave me here!!"
Joey pulled the gag out of her mouth and joined Taylor and Zac.
"You just better get out of here before we call the police." Zac warned her.
She shook her head. "Fine...but I'll get you Zac Hanson one day!!" She grabbed Tisha's arm and stormed out of the yard.
Taylor tossed her bucket to her and it hit her in the butt. She picked it up and ran as fast as she could.

Joey twisted her shirt and let all the water run out onto the grass. Taylor ran over to help Isaac.
"I'm so sorry you were envolved in this Joey." Zac said to her.
"It's ok..." She stared at Zac. He started walking over to her. When he reached her, he put his arms around her and hugged.
Joey smiled and hugged him back, resting her head on his shoulder.
Zac didn't care if he got his clothes soaked. All he cared about right then was her.

"Took you long enough!" Isaac exclaimed, once the ropes were off.
Taylor tossed them over to the side. "Man, can you believe them?!" He asked.
"I know!" Isaac rubbed his arms. "I tried to scream, but they put a gag in my mouth! Really strange..." He shook his head and
stood up. He stretched and looked over at the garage. His mouth dropped.
"Tay, look at that!" He pointed at Zac and Joey.
"He's hugging her!" Taylor said with a smile.
They both looked at each other. "Weird!" They smiled and laughed a bit.
"Let's get inside. Jessie and Avery are probably worried sick." Taylor said, starting to make his way down the treehouse. Isaac
followed him until they reached the garage. Zac pulled away and smiled at them.
"Are you guys ok?" Isaac asked.
"We're great." Joey said, smiling at Zac.
Isaac grinned and walked into the garage. He flipped the swtiches in the fuse box and the lights came on.
"Remind me to always lock the backdoor." He said.
"Come on you two. Let's go inside." Taylor and the others walked back into the house. When they stepped inside, they all
squinted, their eyes adjusting to the light.
"Man, what a weird night." Zac said, plopping down. Joey laughed a little and walked over to the stairs. "Hey wait a sec..." She
said, coming back in the room.
"Are we going to finish the movie?"
They all stared at each other. "Nah..."
