REFORM

Shout out the cry for reform,
Shout out loud, long and proud
And defy this oppressive storm,
The sun must shine again
Through this darkest cloud.

Shout out the cry for reform
But change from within and without,
The flames of freedom burn bright
Try to dim them they might
But they can never stamp them out

Shout out the cry for reform
Change for the better from worst
Deserves more than a fair chance
Even when all hope seems lost
Stand tall, heart brave and lips pursed

Shout out the cry for reform
Even when your cries are all drowned
Steel your heart and love the land
Without courage it will all end
And your children will never make a sound

Shout out the cry for reform
For silence brings you to the grave
As each right is eroded ever so slight
Say now that this abomination must end
Or become forever a voiceless slave

Shout out the cry for reform
Demand justice for the wronged
Or soon all will be lost
As not a soul will be left
To demand your justice in the end
