Hey Zwolf....why bother?

I don't really _hate_ the show, y'know... in fact, for a while nobody was a bigger XWP fan than me, and I still have some of that in me... the reason I'm so _down_ on the show at times now is 'cuz I want them to stop bein' lazy and stop bein' dumb and get back to writing them the way they used to. The show, as it is now, is a far cry from what it once was. Ya almost can't recognize it. They turn Xena into a clown, or they move things off to this or that other exotic locale and bring in a lotta otherworldy stuff... most of it doesn't make much sense and it's out of character. But, I don't really hate the show - if ya read the new spoiler, I even said some positive stuff (and no, I'm not countin' the "BD" stuff that was a joke)... the first spoiler, eh, I complained a little (or a lot) 'cuz I was a lil' ticked that I've gotta go back to *work* now - and writin' those damn things _is_ work.
Last Sunday I literally wrote almost constantly from 7 a.m. 'til 'bout 7 p.m. Do that a few times and you might get a lil' cranky 'bout new seasons comin' up, too! ;) But, it can still be fun, too. And if I seem overly harsh, well, in a way I'm only complainin' 'cuz I _do_ love the show and am kinda frustrated at what they do with it. One thing I've said a few times, that a lotta people don't seem to understand, is "sometimes the most patriotic thing you can do is burn the flag." Complaining about the bad stuff in the show is my admittedly-twisted way of showing I care what they do with it. 'Cuz TPTB read my spoilers, or they used to... so, I'm doin' what I can to grab their ear and say "Hey, some of us don't like the liberties you're takin' with the show... get this back on track!"

Anyway, I'm not really defending my view of things... I've already done it too many times, and I'm kinda screwed for time. All I can say is, if ya dig the spoilers, thanks for readin' 'em, and if ya don't, then don't click 'em. I can't do 'em if I can't be honest in 'em, and I'm not gonna quit doin' 'em 'cuz there's still people who want 'em, and, really, if I didn't waste my time writin' 'em, I'd probably waste it in some other way. :) I get compensation in ways... besides, I'm stubborn - I've told myself I'd keep doin' 'em, so I'm stickin' to that. :)

Anyway, thanks for the thoughts - I never mind criticism as long as it's not in attack-form. :)
