For Those Who've Met Renee?

I saw Renee when she made her first convention appearance at
Valley Forge back in Oct. 1997. Personality wise I think you can
clearly see "Gabrielle" in her - VERY VERY nice, very sweet. I
saw her up close and got an autograph. In autograph lines when
celebrities have to sign picture after picture it quickly gets
exhausting for them. Often you find that after a while the celebrity
is just signing the pictures and no longer paying much attention to
the people. Not so with Renee. I went through the autograph line
twice first to get a picture for myself signed and then to get one
for a friend because I had one of those extra tickets that entitle
you to an autograph. The first time around, which was early on
during the autograph session, Renee was looking up and smiling and
making eye contact with EVERY fan. Close to two hours laters when
I went back for the second autograph she was STILL doing so - still
trying to make the experience special for those who wanted to meet
her. I was very impressed.

I thiiiiink she's shier than Gabrielle - which might surprise people
considering she's an actress but it's one thing to act in front of
a camera, doing some character, and another to stand in front of
hundreds as YOURSELF! The overall impression with regards to her
personality though is just that she's extremely sweet and I think,
at that point anyway, not aware AT ALL of just how popular she is
with the fans.

Physically yes she's quite buff. At Valley Forge she was wearing
a blue-gray sleeveless dress so you could see her arms and they were
very toned as were her legs. It's interesting really because
Hudson, Lucy and Renee are all beautiful, interesting women and
yet about as different as can be in terms of personality and also
physically. Hudson and Lucy are physically very attractive but they
tend toward the model-type with softer lines. Renee looks more like
an athlete I think and in fact she is the most athletic among them -
involved in rock climbing, kick boxing, I've read she even enjoys
horseback riding!

Hudson is VERY VERY VERY thin - but she too is beautiful. Personality
wise she is absolutely WILD! In fact, she *IS* Callisto minus the
insanity. She loves to play with the audience and isn't shy at ALL.
Lucy may surprise you in person. I've seen her twice, first at an
appearance in Orlando where I got to within 5 ft. of her and then
at the Burbank Convention in Jan. 1998. It *IS* true that the Xena
costume makes her look bigger and tougher. In real life as I said,
she looks more like a model. In Orlando she was wearing this short,
blue sleeveless dress that REALLY made her look like that. She's
tall but not the 6ft. that Xena seems to be. Im 5'8" and she only
seemed a tad taller than me. She does LOVE heels though :) Personality
wise she's also VERY nice and funny. At least in her interactions
with the fans I think there's definitely more of the Meg in her
than Xena. The thing that REALLY stands out about her, even from
a distance, are those baby blues - great eyes. Oh by the way -
Renee's are green! It was funny at Valley Forge, we were all trying
to determine FINALLY which color they really were.
