<> my take on it

I'll be the first to admit I liked it. I go for the funnier eps just because I like the interaction between X and G. Their attitude with each other is lighter - even when they argue - ('and what about you?!). I liked the conversation they had with Leah concerning the Gods. Did anyone notice how X & G brushed up against each other. I'm not talking subtext here (that will come later). That moment seemed very real as if two friends were enjoying a laugh. It's scene like that I like cause they are found only in the lighter eps.

As far as Joxer is concerned. I like him too. I thought the brothel scene was hiliarious. Who knew Joxer was actually good at something (and THAT 'something' in particular). For those of you who hate Joxer you know the remedy to get rid of him would be for Gabrielle to finally fall in love with him too. A kiss from this woman is a death sentence. (Xena was safe because one - she was in Autoylcus' body and two - she was already dead).

And as for my favorite subject - subtext - I didn't see quite as much as people have been boasting. I did however notice something no one has mentioned on this topic concerning this ep. When Gabrielle was ripping Leah's clothes off her body did anyone catch the looks she gave Gabby and the fact she had to 'tell herself' the benefits of the life she leads. I thought that was great and I wasn't sure if anyone else noticed it.

Anyway, as far as the look-a-like eps go this was pretty good. What I'd really like to see is G & X run into Queen Deianeira so Gabby will have a look alike too and Xena will have to deal with 'seeing what Gabrielle would look like in body armour'. OWWWW YEAH!
