Xena without Gabrielle

I was just wondering what you think would happen to the show if Renee O'Connor ever decided to leave the show. Now I know that will probably never happen so just bear with me. I honestly don't know if I could find the motivation to watch the show without Gabrielle. I first started watching the show because I thought Lucy was gorgeous, but by the end of the first season there was much more to it than that. The bond between Xena and Gab had become the heart and soul of the show and it was the only show I watched that truly touched my heart.

In the 2 and a half years of watching the show I've become huge fans of Lucy and Renee', and even with a bad episode like "warrior priestess tramp" I truly the enjoyed interaction and chemistry between Lucy and Renee'. But as much as I love the show, if Renee' was to ever leave I think it would leave an emptiness to to the show that would never be filled. I might watch a few shows to see how the producers dealt with her absence, but I fear that would be it for me; it was just be to sad to see Xena traveling around alone. For me Xena without Gabrielle would be like peanut butter without the jelly.

So tell me, am I just being a selfish ROC fan or do any of you feel the same way?

P.S. This post is not meant to take anything away from Lucy. I think she is great, I just feel the strenght of the show is the bond between the two.
