I've watched BS 3X and I still can't say it's a fav of mine. I've read
all of the posts and commentaries thus far. Most have mentioned how
fantastic and how this is at the top five. Personally, I have to disagree.

Could it be I don't like musicals...maybe, possibly. I did like the
"Wizard of Oz" while growing up and to this day, I enjoy "Gigi". I'm
going to try to watch BS again in a couple of weeks during repeat month
(March).

Before, I go into my little bits (this is not commentary) I want to say
that I LIKED the ep but I didn't LOVE it nor is it on my top 5 (iffy 10)
list.

#1....Joxer, hmmm, I actually got a little excited...he was acting, can I
say it....MANLY. His concern for Gabrielle and wanting to 'save' her.
But why oh why was Joxer in Amazonia...how did he get there...how did he
know about Gabrielle's connections...and why was he, a MAN, allowed to
cross the borders???

#2....the Amazons. They are Warrior Women. The put up more of a fight
with Velaska the god. Yes, I know Xena is the Ultimate Warrior but they
could've made it more believable.

#3...loved the slow motion effects that were happening at the beginning.

#4...loved Xena's crazed and evil looks she was giving Gabrielle.

#5...why did Gabriellle have on Amazon garb instead of her tunic at
the ending beach scence??? was this to show them as they ARE/SHOULD BE??

#6...there was no kiss between X & Callisto...she was just blowing air.
And here, I was anticipating...uhhhh

#7...why is Xena never consistent with Ares?? sometimes he's not able to
'budge' her other times she's easily sway...must've been the RAGE.

#8...the beginning of Callisto's song reminded me of the Looney Tunes
cartoon when the circle/chakram is twirling.

#9...Joxer as Q (trial of Picard/ST:TNG) after Gabrielle's death.

#10...loved all the singing...the cutsy one (Callisto) and the sad
(X & G and X alone)

#11...confirm: Did Solan bring them to Illusia to work out their
differences by confronting their rages/hurts????

#12..now, I know why Xena saves the day at the end of every Gabrielle-
heavy ep...she still thinks of her as young and naive

#13...knowing Gabrille completely like she does it is still hard to
believe that Xena would ever think that Gabrielle threw Hope over the
cliff. There seems to be no explaining this one.

Again, this is not a commentary just little bits of what I liked, didn't
like, and observed. And because, I've gotten another headache (2nd posting)
I'm stopping here.

I msut say that for a show of this caliber to do a musical......Excellent Job!!!

The rift did not end well for me...too ABRUPT and not satisfying after
all the Tension and Loose Ends over the past couple of months. It should've
least lasted another ep.
