Pondering about Xena & Gabby

I've been thinking about this for a long time. About the relationship between Xena and Gabby... I think that they have a very loving, close friendship, but that is it. I don't think that there is anything sexual about it. Do you know what I mean?

I think at first, Xena saw Gabby kind of like her daughter. Then It became more sister-like. Now they are two very close friends who have been through a lot together.

I don't really (I can if I look hard enough) see this as a lesbian love affair. I just see it as a deep friendship. They like Men, and have shown it through out the show. Gabby got married and everything. Xena had a child with the man she loved. She also loved Marcus.

I'm not sure if I'm getting my point across.

Their friendship reminds me of a little kid's friendship. Little kids are close like they are. They hug all the time. Have sleep overs and share the same bed, tell each other secrets. They fight and make up all the time. One friend is always stronger and more of a leader than the other. Xena and Gabby's friendship it like that, except they are adults.

I still don't think I got my point across very well.

Please let me know what you all think. I would like to hear all the sides of the issue.

I asked my brother (he is gay) what he thought, and he thinks the same way as me. Maybe it's just my family. I don't know.
