completion of an interupted post

Hi back after a little power surge. I cant quite remember where I left off other than to say I have gotten some flack both from personal freinds and other people posting that think my defense of Xena and Gabrielle being more than just freinds.Some people have even gone so far as to ask me if I'm gay myself.Well not that it is antones buisness,but for those of you who care No I'm not!!!
But I'm not blind either,what I see when I look at Xena and Gabrielle are two people who care vbery deeply for each other why should that threaten anyone? Is'nt that we would all like to find?
I've read where the writers are backing off the subtext because they are afraid veiwers will find it offensive.Hello!! daring to go in a different direction than conventanal TV is what has been a big part of making the show such a hit
Not to take anything away from Lucy and Renne's talents,wich are many.anyway I have gotten a little long winded I know but it just gets me that people feel the need to bring all these negitive conotations into the charecters and stories that this two women portry so well.
We should all hope to feel as close to one special person in our lives regaurdless of sexual preferance
