RE: Annoying red-headed sidekicks

Due to the showing of reruns of almost all my favorite shows, (whatup widat?) I have been watching my Highlander tapes, I was very surprised when Duncan killed Richie, his little annoying sidekick, surprised and pleased I might add. It made me think about our other little red-headed sidekick, The Gabbster, I have also been watching Xena's 1st season eps, and have been surprised, and pleased, with the metamorphosis of Gabrielle, I think the reason I missed so much of the first season was because she was so annoying. Maybe that is the true reason that Xena killed her in MI. Now don't get me wrong I do like Gabrielle, I just wish they would do more with her. There has been a marked improvement since she became an Amazon Princess/Queen, she does swing a mean stick, and she has been practicing flips. I hope TPTB expand this side of her even more.

As for the other annoying sidekick, The Joxer (not a red head but annoying), well maybe a little Highlanderesque treatment would do him good, Xena did kill him too, and I think she liked it. Unlike in the Highlander thank your very much they did not stay dead.

I would just like to see Gabby become more of a partner, she has asserted herself several times and paid dearly for it so who knows, but I think it is time for a change and I don't think her little green top can get much smaller, I loved that line in FMN. As for Joxer he just needs to become more of a man.
