Petition to TPTB

Got this idea from the Herc Folks (Thanks!). They have started a petition to have Universal explain their lack of involvement and action to Trolls:

Here is the petition. Please if you wish to sign reply to this message. Edit out the petition but not the previous signers add your handle to the bottom of the list.
I will send it to them via email on September 1, 1998. If and when it goes to the bottom of the list anyone may copy and repost it.

Petition:

We the undersigned request an explination from the Staff of Universal Studios, specifically those responsible for monitoring and maintaining the Netforums on the following
questions.

1. Why they no longer enforce their own rules?
From Netforum rules:
1.Rules of Conduct for Participants.

a.Participant shall not post or transmit through Universal Channel any defamatory,
obscene or other material which would violate or infringe in any way upon the rights of
others, or which would give rise to criminal or Civil liability.

2. We request an explination to the slowness of the forums and large amount of down time experienced.
Particularly on weekends and holidays.

3. We request an explination of Universal Studios to their disconnecting their e-mail address on June 30, 1998.

All of the signers are members of the Netforum and wish only an explination. We feel that as this is
a public forum in which children under the age of 18 can visit that Trolls should not be tolerated
by the managers of this system.
