The most impressive aspect of Lucy Lawless is her growth in becoming a gloriously
arrogant Warrior Princess. This is not the arrogance of ego but the arrogance of
achievement and self-assurance through the development of the Xena character.
Admittedly, there is a certain charm in the self-effacing victor, but the longer Lucy
goes in this role, the more she hits the stride and stance of the Warrior Princess
with many victories to her credit. She not only wins the battle, she also wins our
admiration. Lucy IS Xena!

She oozes with it, as would anyone in her boots with the skills and conquests that she has. Arrogance denotes a pride and ego, that Xena has turned away from. Anyway, that's my opinion (a dime a dozen).

Hi there firehairwarrior!
There's something to be said for your views on arrogance. Perhaps in the general usage there is a negative connotation.
However, one of the dictionary definitions is: "a feeling of assurance, especially self-assurance". Although Xena has now
turned from her bad side to the good side, her confidence and cockiness certainly steps over (just a tiny bit) into arrogance.
Thanks for your response.
