She arose from the waves, on the darkest night of my life. As I sat on the beach, contemplating my life's worth, I called to God in anger, " Why have you deserted me Lord, I am alone and need you". I collapsed on the sand and looked into the night sky, there were no stars. I remember thinking, I have never seen such darkness, nor felt it. I came to the ocean, when I needed to think. I would sit and listen to the waves crash onto the shore, and be taken away by their melody. It was here, that I could look deep into myself and figure it all out. This night, I thought would be my last on earth. As I knelt on the sand in the darkness, I felt a warm breeze cover me like a blanket. It startled me, and I jumped to my feet, it was then, that I saw her. She rose from the water and floated to the shore. I couldn't take my eyes off of her, she radiated with a soft light . The night grew still, and it seemed as though time stopped. She motioned to me, to come closer, and I was drawn to her. She spoke to me without spoken word , yet I understood her. I thought, this must be heaven, or a wonderful dream. Her silent words comforted me, like nothing I've ever experienced before. I felt no fear or pain, only comfort. Her message was simple, and pure, "Your Father loves you and hears your prayers, your time here is not finished, but begins anew each dawn. Your life is his life, your breath, his breath. Your journey is still new and there are chapters still unread. Embrace life, and love each moment as he loves you. The night turns to dawn because it is His will. You exist because He wills it, and it is his will, that I comfort you now. Have Faith dear child, and never let your fears delay your journey. Live and Love as he loves". I was at peace. Death would not claim me tonight. She vanished into the sea, to comfort another lost soul, for that was her journey. I have never forgotten my night with the OceanAngel, and her words still echo in my soul

So I bid you adieu, as I sit in my rocking chair,
listening to the song of the OceanAngel
I shall forever find peace here, near the ocean.
