We probably have all heard about the 'coming out' of Ellen Degeneres on television. Obviously she has received a lot of support on her choice to be a lesbian. Although she also claims to like men and has slept with a few. Evidently she hasn't found sexual satisfaction with a man. She even said in her interview with Oprah that while making love with a man for the first time that the song " Is That All There Is? " was running through her mind. This indicates that Ellen was not interested in loving the man she was with, but only in her own sexual pleasure; [her lustful nature]. So what does she do next? She decides that she MUST be a lesbian at age 18 or 19 and makes it with a childhood female friend of hers. Ellen finds pleasure in her own perversion, evidently her friend did not as she went on to marry a man sometime later. Ellen falls into the gay lifestyle and meets many other people who like performing perverted sexual acts. This makes her happy, or so she thinks; and goes on in her life to stardom! Ellen does paint a pretty picture, complete with lots of smiles and jokes. And I like Ellen, don't get me wrong. I used to watch her show a lot. Now things have changed for me though. I can still accept Ellen, but I cannot accept her sins, just as she should not accept mine. There are a lot of people in todays world, including what I refer to as wanna be Christians who will tell you that homosexuality is acceptable behavior. There are even members of the Clergy, ie; the priests and ministers who either support the homosexual lifestyle or are homosexual themselves. These people, possibly through ignorance or fear, are promoting behavior that is unacceptable to God. Do I have proof of this? YES! There are many verses inThe Holy Bible that tell us that homosexuality and other perversions of the flesh are a sin. You will find these in both the Old and New Testaments. Read Romans; Chapter 1, verses 18-32. There is no argument here, it is plain and simple. If you choose to believe that The Holy Bible is The Word Of God, then you must accept all that is written in The Bible. We cannot "Pick and choose" what feels good for us, or for others! I want to make one thing perfectly clear. I am not saying that we should not love everyone. I'm saying that we need to love everyone! We do not need to accept everyones sins though. Accept the person as a fellow human being, and help them turn away from any sinful nature. Jesus Christ forgave us sinners, and tells us to "go and sin no more". That is what I am trying to get across here. To love your neighbor as yourself; but do not love or accept their sins, or your own sins! We are to love the person as part of " The Body Of Christ " and to minister unto each other the error of our own ways with a 'loving hand'. Having to give up something that one may find pleasurable is never easy. I myself have have lived in sin for 49 years. Lusting after the flesh has been my constant challenge, and most of the time I've lost the battle. Because of my perversions and fleshly appetites I have spent the past 20 years in prison and still face 20 more years behind bars. I am a sinner; no doubt about it! I need not sin anymore though as I have accepted Jesus Christ into my life. I believe that He is working in me to show me the whole person that God intended me to be before I slipped into my sinful nature at such an early age. It is my prayer that whoever reads this message will not be discouraged, but . will reach out to God and ask for help in turning your life around. Life is not easy for sure; and you need to be willing to make the effort to change as well. With Gods help you can do it! It may not be sudden or noticeable at first, but it will happen if you truly believe and want it to be so. Confessing that you're a sinner is a start. We all know in our hearts what feels right or wrong, although we do try to justify things don't we? Just lay it all out there to God and ask Him to forgive all your sins through Jesus Christ and go on from there. Know in your heart and mind that you've been forgiven, [set free from the power of sin]; keeping God in your life, " Go and sin no more". I know it sounds simple to do this, saying the words can be simple. To really believe and mean it is no guarantee of an easy journey through. Life is not an easy journey for anyone, but with Jesus Christ as your guide you will be shown the true loving way.
