Bodies turned to cenotaphs
Ashes to ashes and dust to dust
Our souls no more than an eerie children’s song.
A pocket full of posies…
And our hearts bleed oceans
which lead to lands we do not know.
At our birth we are buried,
bright light and screams and silence.
Just as those songs we sang as children
fade… to gray, to white.
