My Print Studio

I use a small Ettan MS-12 Press and oil based relief inks from Daniel Smith (Seattle) and typically work on very thin papers.

I have moved from the thin gray linoleum to the thicker white kind (softcut/softolium) - this robot was my first attempt with the new (at the time) material. Took some getting used to - but I do like the material and use it regularly now.

For large work, I skip the press and use a baren. It's fun to see the image appear through the thin papers as you rub the back side - and I think I enjoy that part of the process much more than futzing with press blankets. If you think you need a press to do this - think again!
