Women in the Book Arts .. a selection
The artists represented here range in age from their twenties to their sixties. Each book varies in design, format and content. Most of them include some form of letterpress printing -- that is, printing by hand with moveable type. In many instances, the book's binding and paper are made and decorated by hand as well.

Sheila's Bookbinding: How to make Books
The advantage of my bookbinding method is that it doesn't require any special skills, tools or equipment. The equipment for traditional binding is expensive, and even the home-made versions may be unpractical for a person who only wants to do this as a craft project. My technique also has the advantage of materials which are easy to find and use for most people.
