Tales of an 11th Grade Nothing: Pt 2-How I Changed Music History

Now you may not believe me, but I had a profound effect on music history. Do you remember that song 'Who's That Girl?' by Madonna? Well it was around the time of this song when I met up with a good friend of mine, Jonathan Collins, who lives in London. I said to him 'hey Jon, I've got this song I wrote not too long ago that I'm not too sure what to do with, its just sort of sitting their and I'm too crummy at writing lyrics to complete it'. It was a fairly basic song, so I picked up my guitar and played it. I sort of had the humming down pact too so I hummed along with it. Jonathan looked at me and said 'Dammit Maria! I think you've got a clever little ditty here! I actually have this good friend of mine, Charles, who's in this band that is just starting to record in the studio and might be able to use this!'. I told him he could have it; what was an 8 yr old going to do with a song anyways? That was the last time I heard my song until about a few ago titled 'The Holiday Song' done by The Pixies. I was told I was responsible for shaping the sound of The Pixies.

I've had a lot of situations like this.. you know 'Cannonball' by The Breeders? Well I didn't exactly write that but Kim (Kim deal as you know her) called me in and we sort of collaborated to come up with that great tune. You know those funny noises she makes at the beginning of the song? Well the inspiration for that came from my growling stomach. I rocked history. I rock.

Warning: I have been known to be quite insane, do not believe a single word that escapes my brain onto my computer because it is completely false. Actually I am a gigantic Pixies fan, and to even pretend I was aware of music at that time would be a joke. I couldn't write decent music if my life depended on it :)
