This album rawks! Personally my favourite tunes on this album is Not a Pretty Girl (by far the best!!), Shy, and the Million that you Never Made. I mean it rocks for so many reasons. Ani can play fucking great! I can't play guitar or any other instrument but she's awesome. She plays acoustic guitar, bass guitar, steel guitar, electric guitar, percussion, and the thumb piano. She has a gorgeous, real voice. I wish I could sing like her. Her message is one of the most key parts of the album. Her honesty. Her "realness". Her emotion. Her feelings. Feelings that so many people can identify with. Especially females. I thought it was only females for a while but my male cousin says he to identifies with it too.
I guess the music is considered folk. Some of the songs have a punkish feel to them. I never thought folk was like this but oh man if this is folk I like, I like!
I heard this is not her very best album and if that's so I can't wait to hear her BEST. (Her best is rumored to be "Living in Clip" and I want it so bad but it costs $40 at Sunrise but now I got Christmas Cash so I'm so there! :))
