Classic Movie Reviews I finally got up off my ass and rented One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest. I would have preferred The Children’s Hour or Panic in Needle Park but I couldn’t find those.I know this sounds super-cheesy, but this was the first movie in a long time that made me smile. Jack Nicholson was so good in it. I used to be a huge Jack Nicholson fan (after all he has the same birthday as me) but lately my love for him had been weaning (is that a word?). I saw The Shining and I liked it and all, but his performance really didn’t do anything for me.One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest was great because Jack Nicholson played just what he was meant to play; a slime bucket. Not only was e a slime bucket, but he had a heart and even though he was tough and masculine (not in a fake way of course) he still cared.This movie is filled with great performances; stuttering Billy Bibbit (Brad Douriff), smiley Martini (Danny DeVito), crazy-eyed Taber (Christopher Lloyd), and silent Chief Bromdem (Will Sampson).I truly recommend this movie to anyone and everyone.
