Well, usually when you hear a teenager say they were born in the wrong era, they continue by saying : "yeah, jimi hendrix, man! He was great!" I was not supposed to be born into the 1960's....I feel I better belong in the 1940's. It isn't just a little feeling....it is a full blown obsession. I buy dresses from the forties. I listen to swing and Sinatra. I would love to stay at home and clean my house until my husband and kids come home. I would love to drink a coke in a drugstore or go to Hollywood. I would love to date a guy that wears dress pants and a tie...and one of those hats...

People find this odd. They really don't see why I would rather go back in time instead of forward. I know I should be proud of the fact that women have come so far and that I shouldn't preach otherwise. I am very proud but I am very old fashioned in certain views. I would LOVE to be a middle or upper class family or couple in the 1940's!

I hope you don't find me any stranger....but the next time ole blue eyes comes on the radio, swing a little bit.
