It was a dark and stormy night. Cherry had just arrived at the mall when she heard a sound. 'What was that?' She thought to herself but walked on. She had to meet Kat, Fly and SonicYuth at Gourmet Cup. When she arrived, she told everyone about the weird sound she had heard. 'It's probably just the renovations going on in The Bay or in Sears,' Fly told her. 'Don't worry about it,'
But Cherry WAS worried! After they finished their coffee, SonicYuth suggested that they go to Sunrise to search for a CD she really wanted to buy. Again Cherry heard the unmistakable noise, only louder this time. 'Guys,' she said 'You MUST have heard that.' But again no on had heard a noise. Upset and a little confused, Cherry continued on from store to store, each time hearing that same noise until it was burning in her ears. By the time the four girls reached Aldo where Kat was looking for boots, Cherry couldn't take it anymore.
'I am going insane,' She yelled out'what could that noise be!' Cherry raised her hands to her ears and felt a very familiar object. Earphones. She looked down to her purse and switched off her walkman. The same walkman she had forgotten to take off when she arrived at the mall.
