"Good morning" The first words on Noah Mintz' pseudo-solo project Noah's Arkweld. The song, untitled Mornin' is a little less optomistic, but still keeps with the beauty that is found wherever Noah goes.
Noah's voice is in a category all it's own. He has an off-key-on-key to it, and he is able to write songs that can make you cry. The album, FUN, is very much the same. A few songs, like SLOW, DREAM and INBORTED really captured my attention. The first is a song about a boy who is mentally slow. It strikes a note in me and reminds me of those years when I watched in horror as the "cool" kids thought they might "catch" the disease of a mental disability. Dream gives me a hope, though I'm not sure it is supposed to and INBORTED makes me cry.
I really hope that you can pick it up...it is for sale everywhere in the
GTA. If you are unable to get it, you can right to Squritgun

I love both these albums. I bought Pussy Whipped first and I loved it so less than a week later I bought Reject All American.
I'm not a big music person... I don't play any instruments and I can't carry a tune in a paper bag but I love these albums! They have feelings and a message and it's good music (IMHO).
It's sounds like punkish-riot grrl (I'm really bad at placing music into correct genres). It's excellent. It's very melodic at times. Great lyrics like: "You made the rules. You wrote the script out. Don't blame me when you fuckin lose." and "They Sylvia Plath story is told to girls who write. They want us to think that to be a girl poet means you have to die."
Alien She is the song that made me want Pussy Whipped. Star Bellied Boy is a kick ass song. All of RIP is so touching and great.
Buy them both!!
