When do you cross the line that defines you're "obsessed" with someone? Most of us have had at least one obsession in our lives, whether it be a girl, boy movie star, etc. And what drives us to be infatuated with these people we hardly know anything about? Are we completely shallow to like someone because of their good looks? Yes we are. Let's face it; it's human nature to be attracted to the attractive; that's why models are so successful.

Personally, I have had several obsessions and have been criticized for every one of them. People ask me how I can be obsessed with someone I hardly even know; but that's the whole reason I AM obsessed with such a person. The whole concept that he's so mysterious, I have no idea what he is really like. Therefore I can make these wild assumptions and create him to be whatever I want...in a sense creating the perfect person. If I ever got to KNOW this person, it would never work out. His actual personality would never live up to the expectations that I had created in my mind.

Maybe it's the concept that you could never have a remote CHANCE with this obsession that makes you want him/her even more. As we all know, we all want what we can't have; that's what causes people to rebel. Or maybe we have obsessions so we can be preoccupied with something, so we have something to talk about with our friends.

Well, that's just my interpretation of obsessions; just other one of my crackpot analyzations for  the phyche of the human mind.
