The Post Valentines Day Rant
by SpiderWebs

Ok grrls and boyz, it's February the Month of Love, and Valentines is soon approaching. Feel left out because you don't have a girlfriend, boyfriend, or significant other? Don't worry about it! Lots of other people don't (I'm one of them). So who cares if you don't have anyone to take to the Semi-Formal, or go to the movies with...that's what friends are for. Everyone is always shoving it in my face that they have a boyfriend/girlfriend and I don't. Well I'm GLAD I don't!!! I'm here today to promote some of the reasons NOT to have a significant other (in the spirit of Valentines day).

First of all, they take up all your time. Who wants to spend your days calling the same person over and over again? And feeling obligated to invite them every time you go out. Why should you spend your time analyzing everything he/her says because it's some kind of message (common girls, you know what I'm talking about). Why do you have to waste so much money, going out every weekend or buying expensive presents on your weekly anniversary to impress him/her?

I know what you couples are saying right now: But you need some LOVE in your life; you need somebody to SHARE that love with!!! Well couples, do me a favour: when your "sharing" some of that love, keep it out of my face! Go get a room and stop making the rest of us sick.

People that young don't know what love really is. Do you really think at such a young age your going to find your TRUE love and get married to them in the future? NO!!! It's just puppy love...you'll end your so-called relationship in 3 weeks and move on to the next person. Why even bother?

Worse case scenario: Let's say you think you really DO love each other and decided to sleep together. The girl gets pregnant and now the two of you are stuck together for the rest of your life. Do you really love him/her THAT much to marry out of wedlock and spend the rest of your LIVES together??? Ask yourself that.

Now you're probably saying: she's just jealous cause she doesn't have a girlfriend/boyfriend. But really, who needs one anyways? You have your whole life to find that perfect someone, why play these useless games when you're young and you know it won't amount to anything? So couples for the last time...leave us single people alone! We're fine just the way we are.
