| There are three different kinds of fortune telling. People can either look up to the heavens and read the stars and their actions, People can predict the future with the aid of spitits, or people can use witchcraft. Here is a brief history on each subject. |

~Astrology, or the reading of the heavens~ |

| Astrology, or the reading of the stars began long ago, way back in the ancient world. It was believed that the stars, planets and their posisions can affect your future and predict many things. The Ancient Greeks saw pattens formed by stars in the sky with the shape of animals and people, now called constellations. The Greeks looked up to them as gods. And that is when the 12 signs of the Zodiac were created. But even way back before the Zodiac was born, the people had priests who could predict the future consulting the heavens. |

| But most people still read the heavens for signs, or predictions. The Incas are one example of people who worshiped the sun, moon and stars. A lunar eclipse or a solar would mean bad luck to them and they would offer Human sacrifices to their gods. Eclipses are not a sign of the end of the world or any thing like that, but always keep in mind the sun, moon and stars and their actions and movements are always a sign of something. |

| An eclipse, a supernova, a quasar, a pulsar(or a dying star) or any reaction like that holds a meaning. People who read the stars for signs are called astrologers. Only good, and well trained astrologers should read the stars. A bad astrologer, or fortune teller could misinterpret a heavenly action and he/she could give you a wrong prediction, so you should be careful of the astrologer you pick. |
