This old portrait was faded and lost alot of detail in the eyes, (the life in the portrait). Once restored, your portraits can be personalized and documented with the subjects names and dates. A perfect way to capture the history of your family before it fades from future generations.

When I began 27 years ago, I used the tools available to me at that time, brushes, pencils, dyes, and airbrush. With todays technology, they are now electronic tools and the quality they offer is superb. The following images are some examples of my restoration work. This is my Mom...Claree.... She used this picture to announce her engagement. When she met Dolly Parton in Atlanta (before "Steel Magnolias" was filmed), Dolly commented on her "beautiful southern name". I often wondered if that was where the character "Claree" in the movie got her name.... would'nt that be a Hoot!

In restoring this portrait, I was able to make the signature more ledgable, as well as fix the tears and blemishes, and brighten the eyes and teeth.

This before and after is of my Dad. He is no longer of this earth but is an Angel in Heaven. We miss him everyday. This is the perfect example of why Portraits are so very important. Here is a wallet size picture that was damaged by staying for years in a billfold. Some extensive work was done to rebuild and restore the image. With all the distractions in the original, no one noticed the little bird sitting on her shoulder. Discovering new things can make it fun for everyone. What a great gift this will make.
