I thought of you today
which is nothing new
Since you left not a day has passed
without my thoughts of you

I miss you so much
even though it's been awhile
But it seems like just yesterday
that you warmed me with your smile

And yes I miss your smile
and your laughter and your tears
They are part of my memories of you
that will stay with me throughout the years.

You were always there for me
your warm heart with me you shared
You always managed to comfort me
when I thought no one else cared

Through my tears you made me laugh
and showed me the sun when my life was gray
You gave me so much of your love
and I cherish it dearly to this day

You meant so much to me
my love for you will never end
You were not just my mother
you were also my best friend
