Helen works in several mediums including Watercolor, Oil, Mixed Media, Ceramics, Printmaking and Photography. She has recently been concentrating on Photography. She has shown her work in many juried art shows and exhibitions including the Rosicrucian Museum, San Jose Center for the Performing Arts opening show, Triton Museum, Santa Clara County Fair, Presbyterian Church Art Show and numerous Los Gatos Art Association juried art shows. She has received numerous awards including a Best of Show award for a "Ballet Folkloric" Photograph.

Helen has been recognized by the Santa Clara County Branch of the National League of American Pen Women. She is a Past President of Los Gatos Art Association and currently President of the Saratoga Contemporary Artists. She is also a member of Los Gatos/Saratoga Camera Club as well as the Photographic Society of America. Her work is included in the permanent collection of the Triton Museum in Santa Clara.

Helen Riley has an exhibit on display November 1st to December 31st, 2004 at the Blue Rock Shoot in Saratoga. Blue Rock Shoot is located at 14523 Big Basin Way, across the street from the Village Square.  There are 15 photographs hanging on the walls of the inside, first floor dining area. It is a Deli and they are open from 6:30 A.M to 9:30 P.M. every day.
