Rashly Applied Criteria I nducing S elective M isanthropy

is the primary cause of the senseless slaughter of this young man of color and once again it has emerged and vented its vicious fury on an unsuspecting person of color. The black man is perceived to have been born a 'criminal suspect' and therefore subject to the vile treatment that vigilante justice metes out to one so perceived. The paranoia that has gripped America about the black man's alledged criminal propensity has caused much pain and loss of life. One wonders when will this arbitrary judgement of character based on skin color end. These words of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. are still begging to be heeded.

"... that my four little children shall not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character."

The execution has taken place and the guns are still smoking. The folly is recognized, but it is irreversible. A body lies prostrate in a pool of blood and a voice has been permanently silenced. The spirit departs.
