This bead was the result of endless failed attempts at a fall theme! I don't know if I hit a non-creative phase or what, but I tried a "flame bead" with autumn colors and instead would up with a garish orange and green mosaic. I then turned a came work and tried a pumpkin but wound up with mush. My final attempt before this leaf was to do an acorn design, which would have, won, hands down, any ugliest came contest. My leaf design was made as follows and copies the pattern in the Creative Polymer Clay Jewelry book:
In retrospect, I should have formed the shape more carefully so it didn't come out looking like a pear! Oh well, I hope you enjoy this little bead!.
