The Apostles - The Bible - Published Back In Tha Day
This books okay, a bit preachy at times though. A lot of "Thou shalts" and "Thou shalt nots". Someone call Dr. Laura cuz this book is dishing out a strict moral code. I know this is a multi-author book, but a lot of these writers need to get their shit together! No wonder Penguin didn't touch this thing, I mean Shakespeare would be rolling in his grave if he read some of this shit. So much repetitive nonsense and bad sentence structure. And if you saw the way these chapters are set up! Damn!! Not to mention the fact that a third of the book contradicts the other third, and the third third is too nonsensical to understand (like this sentence). But, if you're willing to overlook all of that, then there is actually some good content buried within all the bad style. Some of the stories are pretty decent - your typical good vs evil business with everyday men used as metaphors for life. A lot of it reads like your typical soft-core porn only with a lot more incest n shit. But, for the most part this book isn't really worth it. Every time you try to read it, you end up feeling like you're navigating a maze only to find a mediocre prize at the middle. If you really wanna get the jist of it, just skip to the 10 Commandments part - the rest of it is just repeating that shit and imprinting it on your head.
