A Poem of Darkness, Worshipping in the Abyss
The road lay open and velvet like a vein before me, and I strode down it
beneath the silly stars, dancing in the violent silence of the night.
Darkness pulled me along, a tortured toy at the end
of a twisting tether, on a path.
Freed forms in the silken shadows stirred, I'm certain,
but fear was not astride the mare ahead of me.
I had the monstrous moon above me to drown out the quick cries of the creatures,
to illumine my thoughts on the sandy, diamondnized trail,
and I crazily kissed the cursed curving blackness , slurring this prayer into her evening ear...
"Deepest, ebony abyss...
I am shedding my soul in your aching arms..."
