"A Prayer"

From a young boy to an
old man and getting older
with the passing of each
day

I ask the Lord to guide
me through the rest of my
life
and in my final death
show me the way.

I have led a life of
heartache and sin
knowing long ago this
game of life without God
was impossible
to win.

Ignoring His call
I felt He wasn't for
me

Never realizing, with
Him at the helm
how much better my
life could be.

How powerful they
are, the temptations of
this every day life
as we go on our way

Dear Lord forgive us
in our final hours
this we do Pray.
