Just sittin on a rock along
A can of worms and an old
Threw my line in down by that

side the creek,
a big fat catfish is what
I seek.
cane pole,
gonna catch a big one from
this catfish hole.
old rotten log,
scared the heck out of an old
bull frog.
make a sound,
hoping that my line that old
catfish has found.
My cork starts to bob and my
line grows tight
and I know it's a big one that's
gonna put up a fight!
He tugs at my line as he runs
back and forth,
first to the south then to
the north.
I plant my feet and I hold
on tight
as I set the hook with all
my might!
Now this must have made
that old catfish mad,
cause he yanked back with
all he had.
He drug me down the bank,
to the edge of this old
flat rock,
to my surprise, boy what a
shock!
As I looked into the water,
as off this rock I started
to fall,
now I could see, he wasn't
really that big at all!
