Isn't it odd...how this 'net' works. When I first started on my site about 1 1/2 years ago, I met a great lady. I did the first draft of my site, and being really into this web page building, I started applying right and left for web page awards. One that I happened across freaked me. Out of all of the billions of sites...I came across hers. Turns out, she too is an Inupiat from Alaska. She was raised down here in the states by paternal grandparents. I knew her mom, she was related to my mom. I remember meeting her mom when I was litte. Anyway, Cindy and I got to emailing back and forth. She is like a big sis. We have told each other about our lives and the many little (and some not so little) problems in our day to day lives. She has 3 children right at the same age as mine. Well, she just contacted me this weekend. Her 14 year old daughter was killed when a car hit her. And to make matters that much harder to take, the cops didn't seem to want to follow up on the facts in the case. This page is a dedication to Cindy's daughter, Jessi Melinda Spurlock. It is also a reminder to wake up each morning with thanks on your lips for the chance at another day. To tell those you love, that you do love them. And to forgive those petty little (no matter how big you might think they are-they are petty in the grand scheme of life) quarrels you have with others. Rejoice in the life Creator has gifted us with. Share your life and your love with the rest of Creation! |

Angels Singing on the Wind ~ Dedicated to Jessi Spurlock May 30, 1985 ~ January 25 2000 ~ Angels are out there Singing on the wind, Wrapping up our hearts When the hurt comes on in.
When we don't know how we are going to make it through, There they are, with Creators love holding us together, like they do.
When the anger hits so hard & the feeling like life is no more, They tenderly hold that part that keeps us from shutting the door.
I don't know the 'empty' that I know you now do feel, But prayers from all I am are sent with hopes that you'll heal.
Walk outside & look to the sky feel the breeze brush tears aside, And think of Jessi flying high with Angels singing on the wind.
When you see the sunset each night know Creator has her now, not us, And even though we'll miss her He's got her safely folded in his Love.
When the birds sweetly wake you knowing of your dreams of the night before, know that she is the one who has sent them to your door.
And when you feel you can't go on When the pain too easily lends, Listen.....there she is... With Angels, Singing on the Wind!
