My
baby daughter mentioned the other day - - though she’s not a baby any more-- With
You All The While
 How much she wished
that I were near; afraid of what’s in store
 My heart stuck in my
throat, while in my mind the thoughts revolved
 Of all the things she
means to me and of problems left unsolved
 What could I now say
to her to alleviate her fears
 Turn the tide of deep
despair and dry my Baby’s tears
 It was then my mind
came on an answer of a sort
I could show how I was
there strengthening this tiny fort
 Listen, my dear loving
one, with the half of me inside
 As you wander through
a starlit night with eyes so open wide
 And when you see the
galaxy in time beyond my time
 Think of me for I’ll
be there the part of you inside
 If you are blessed with
a little one, you’ll know to what I speak
A part of you will go
there to as you cup such tiny feet
 And in your travels
to distant lands at the wonders you will see
 Don’t forget who stoked
the flame and for a moment think of me
 I’m never far, trust
this thing, I’m with you all the time
Use my love as a shield
today and let the daylight shine
 Pause awhile in your
mad rush, for the butterfly give a smile
 “Cause I’ll be smiling
right along, I’ve been with you all the while
