John Rogers, son of William and Ann Rogers, married Vashti Austin August 6, 1754. He was a carpenter. Vashti died between 1780 and 1786. Vesta/Vashti and John are mentioned in the marriage certificate of their daughter Charity and Benjamin Borton in 1780 but when Ann married Jobe Borton in 1786, Vesta/Vashti is not mentioned and John is working in Cape May, NJ.
They had 6 children:
1. Abraham Rogers married Mary Hovey.
2. William Rogers married Rachel Clark.
3. Amos Austin Rogers married Sarah. They had one son John Stratton Rogers. Amos Austin Rogers
died in 1808.
4. Charity Rogers
5. Ann Rogers
6. James Rogers married Theophilia Gaskill.
