How to send BCC (Blind
Carbon Copy)
I am a Netscapee so this is the Netscape Version.
If you use Outlook or another Email Program, and can't
find this feature,
EMAIL me, and I will try to include directions to it
as well.
When you send EMAIL to more than one person.. Do this:
1. Address the mail to yourself (Everyone knows
you anyway, they have your return address)
2. Select Addresses, and choose BCC instead of
TO
or CC
(selecting this option will hide all those names and
email addresses that were marked to go BCC)
Here's Netscape's Mail Window:
Note the menu options at the top of the page under Message Composition
When you click on To: the Pull-Down menu you see in grey appears.
And you choose Bcc: from that Pull-Down menu, and add everyone
else's addresses.
It is that simple.. Here's more
See the ADDRESS button
right there at the top? Click on it.
This little Address menu come up (slightly longer, and filled with names)
If you typed already typed in the To: field Your Own Address
you see
Then begin selecting names from the list by clicking on
when you have the desired address:
And select some more names:
And finally, when you have all the names selected, click OK
and continue to the next screen:
Don't forget to add a SUBJECT line IE: TIP: ABOUT SENDING EMAIL
WITH BCC
and send knowing that you will see this message addressed to yourself,
and all your friends
But they will only see your address, and the message will be cleaned
up. Here's what a message
that you receive back looks like:
