THE FAMILY TREE
 
 
MUM'S SIDE
As previously mentioned, although my mother was born in Australia, her parents were not.  Instead, they migrated to Australia from Arathipou, a village in Larnaca, Cyprus.  For those who do not know about Cyprus, it is an island in the Meditteranean Sea, just beneath Turkey and west of Syria.  It is also the island of Aphrodite, the goddess of love, who sprang forth from the froth of the sea.

My maternal grandfather (BaPou) is Christos (Chris) and my maternal grandmother (Yia yia) is Harita.  They had four children, Tony, Helen, Anna and Johnny.  In 1984 they separated.  BaPou Chris is now in a de facto relationship with a lady called Betty.


THE CHILDREN
Tony Tony married Eva and together they had three children - a daughter Lia, and twin sons called Nathan and Nikius (Nik).  Tony and Eva divorced in the early 1990s. Helen Helen and her husband Harry are the parents of  Tanya and Steven (Steve). Anna Anna married Peter.  They have three children, Katina, Leilani and Dimitra. Johnny Johnny is the only sibling not to have married.

THE FIRST COUSINS
To make it a little bit easier, the parent of the children will be beside the name of the child
Lia (Tony)
Lia and Steve are the proud parents of our newest addition to the family, Sarah Lilly
Nathan (Tony)
At 16, Nathan is a little young to be married, however he has been in a serious relationship with Sonia for 5 years.
Nik (Tony)
Nik's love life confuses me even at the best of times!
Tanya (Helen)
Tanya is the family's doctor and is the first in my maternal family to get married.  She will be marrying Nick, her Italian fiance on November 1st.
Steve (Helen)
Although he has a law degree, Steve is an entertainer.  He currently lives in Sydney with his girlfriend Michelle.
Katina (Anna)
What love life??
Leilani (Anna)
"Micheal, Paul, or Froch?  I don't know which one to like."   Gimme a break!!
Dimitra (Anna)
 At 11, Dim's  is a little young to be in a relationship, however she has a serious crush on a guy in her class called Kevin.  The cute thing about this, is that she told him herself!!
