MY SECOND DAY AT UNI
OR:
AND YOU THINK YOU'RE THE UNCO ONE??
My true story... By KATINA R.
I swear, I had the most worst day at Uni... and it only took me two days for it to happen! I was running a little late this morning to go to uni, but I made it on time, with 15 minutes to spare but the bad part was, I didn't know where the lecture theatre was (the one where i was supposed to go to).
Searching all over the campus for it, I walk into a wall of wet paint. With white paint marks down my left side (tshirt, arm and shorts), I go into the bathroom to wash it all off... in the meantime getting my entire left side saturated in water. I'm thinking I have the right lecture theatre when I walk into this room full of mainly Asian students. As I walk in (still wet mind you), I turn slightly, my bag accidently switching off the light. By this stage I'm wishing that the floor will swallow me up, but no... fate is never that kind!! As I go to sit down (with all hope of being inconspicuous thrown out the window), the lecturer says "Excuse me... next time could you please come a little on time?". I apologise for being half an hour late, and then ask "Um... is this European History?" A moment passes and then the WHOLE CLASS starts laughing at me... The lecturer (trying to be nice and trying not to laugh) says, "No... sorry!"
I finally find my class, which turns out to be just a basic introductory lesson about the Internet (which I sort of conclude that I don't need to go to anyway!!) Afterwards, I walk into Rundle Mall with a friend of mine and we go to the movie theatre to use the toilets, however, as we're going down the stairs, I slip and fall down a few of them!!!!
As per usual, nothing is done in moderation!! A few minutes later, I'm walking past Thwaite's (a men's store), when I see a guy friend from high school. As I go to hug him, I knock over this red light sale light, it's components scattering along the ground for several meters! Picking up the pieces, I put the light back together as fast as I can (well, sort of jamming the pieces together!!) and try to walk off as naturally as possible. This would have worked okay... had I not walked straight into a blackboard!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So.... do you know of any good insurance companies????
