ABOUT SCOTT...

 

I was born on July 19 1977, In Burton On Trent, Staffordshire, England.

My mother and father couldn't think of a name for me, so seeing their confusian my mothers Scottish Mid-wife, called me temperarily Scott. The name stuck and 21 years later that is still my name.

My school days could have been a lot better, as I was a bit of a rebelious boy, but I got respectable grades. After my last exam at school, I lost one of my best friends, Douglas Davies, in a car crash. They rushed him to hospital with serious injuries, but he died the next day. After that I started to think very seriously about my life and the truth.

I got baptised on May 15th, 1994 and then went straight into the pioneer service. I became very zealous for the ministry, and Regular auxillery pioneered for almost a year. To start off pioneering was very hard, as I had no pioneer partner, but then a Brother named Ben Rennie moved over from Ireland. Ben was a great aid to me in the ministry, despite his stuburn attitude!

Ben Rennie is into Guitars and Electric Keyboards, so in May 1996 I decided to buy a Bass Guitar, and we formed a band. We had our first live performance in front of the brothers and sisters at his parents anniversary party. The atmosphere was great, there was loads of Irish and English Witness's there and we had a good gig overall. We played our last gig on December 2 1997 at a brothers wedding. It was not a very good gig and we split up after that, very rarely to play together again.

Well Now I am working as a Stockroom Worker for a company named 'Argos', and I no longer pioneer because of the amount of hours I work. But You can still have the pioneer spirit and thats what I have! It is as well to try and make yourself goals to maintain that spirit, and thats what I am working on now. My goal is to try and use my Bible more on the ministry, The Bible is the whole reason that we have this knowledge so it has to act as fact not fiction to people.
