Disruption and Corruption, a feline perspective
The discomfort and distress associated with relocation due to business expansion
By Eric Ritchie
I've recently endured the aches and pains associated with being uprooted and unceremoniously deposited at a new locale. My surroundings are unfamiliar my neighbours unknown. Such is the lot in life when you are the housepet of an entrepreneur.
As all are aware, Cat Face Creations has taken cyberspace by storm and is rapidly growing into a dynamic enterprise fully prepared to dominate the internet market in the coming millennium. Frankly, who really gives a hairball? What about me? I have concerns that appear to go unnoticed. This new management is unrelenting in its efforts to stifle my creativity and freedom of expression.
Just yesterday I was undertaking a research project in the management sleeping pod. Having spent hours preparing the site and establishing my testing parameters, I was rudely interrupted by Mr. Ashy. Hours spent in study were virtually erased in mere seconds. I realize that with growth comes growing pains, however, I can't help but question the manner in which these changes are occurring.
Being a member of the feline staff, I am not privy to all of the goings on in upper management these days. I can't help but fondly recall times past when I, too, sat around the table in the old apartment brainstorming and being part of our creative team.
I am using this medium in hopes of solicting responses from other pets in similar situations.
