Sarahland sports star injured in wagon mishap

Topping our newsbriefs this week is the shocking news that Sarahland soccer star and sometime model, Natasha Edwards, has been injured in a wagon mishap.
The incident occurred in Saanich, BC on Wednesday, July 21st at approximately 7:43 p.m. at the home of an unnamed relative. Details are sketchy, but it appears that Natasha was navigating a wagon (of unknown origin) when the vehicle began to pick up speed rapidly causing her to lose control of the steering mechanism. Evidence suggests that Natasha was attempting to exit the vehicle in order to bring it under control when the unfortunate mishap occurred. During her exit attempt, the said vehicle collided with the rear end of a late model passenger sedan causing damage to both vehicles.
Natasha was catapulted out of the wagon and thrown into the heavily corroded tailpipe. The brunt of the impact was absorbed by Natasha's right leg, causing a jagged horizontal laceration that required 31 sutures to close. The nature of her injury has raised considerable concerns with her sponsors both here and abroad. With both a modeling and a soccer career on the line, her agents have been quick to assure those involved that she is ontrack to make a full recovery with minimal scarring and no muscle or tendon damage.
Sources close to the family tell us there was another passenger, name not available, on board at the time. This other individual was shaken but uninjured and did not receive or require medical attention. At press time, the relationship of the two involved, is not known.
