I Will Remember You

in loving memory of all the children who died during a school shooting

"I will remember you
Will you remember me?
Don't let your life pass you by
Weep not for the memories"

- Sarah McLachlan, "I Will Remember You"

it makes me sick to open the paper and see that another teenager has opened fire on their classmates. i thought i was safe from it, living in Canada, but shortly after the Columbine massacre something similar happened in Alberta. and in my community two guys from two different high schools have been suspected of planning the same thing. one guy scared a princepal so badly that they called the police. they decided to check the guy's locker and found a hit list of people in his school, including the "jocks" and the "cheerleaders", pictures od dead people with their throats slit, pictures of Hitler and Charles Manson, and a BB gun. this guy goes to my little sister's high school. once i heard about that i nearly threw up. my baby sister! the people who were shot at the other school shootings were important to people, someone's baby or older brother or sister, someone's daughter or son, someone's cousin, someone's best friend. this could happen anywhere! i live in a small town and there were two people here suspected of pulling off something like this! so please remember these children by lighting a candle on your page for them and pray that this never happens to you!
